I’ve retired from Wordle. Here are my stats for the last year.

 

I’m retiring so I can spend more time with my family and to deal with pending scandals, whatever they might be.  

This retirement is permanent.  Let me make that perfectly clear.  No returning to Wordle under any circumstances that don’t involve me making money or responding to a groundswell of demand for my return.

Looking at my stats, I can hang up my vocabulary with my head held high just like Jordan did when he decided to give baseball a try. 

I am looking to give having ten more minutes a day to deal with the challenges of life a try.

2023: The Year of the Mind Fuck

 In the corner of the Internet where I lurk, there has been talk of Mind Fuckery. The term maybe was coined by Kunstler and used a lot by him and also used a lot by the host of Coffee and a Mike: a very, very good podcast by the way.

Now, I’ve just read a substack by CJ Hopkins where he declares 2023 to be the year of the Mind Fuck. I suppose that he and Kunstler are talking about the same phenomenon.  That is, that  the powers that be are really screwing with our minds.

I agree with the idea of the MF.  My only quibble is that to say 2023 is the year of it is to minimize how much of it has going on in the years 2020 and 2021 and 2022.

How to stop Chinese from wearing Dodger caps and clothing

 For whatever reason — maybe they think it looks cool — Chinese in China like to wear clothing and hats bearing logos the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers.  As a baseball fan — not as ardent as I used to be, mind you — I can’t stand it.  The Chinese mostly have no idea of the baseball aspect of what they’re wearing,

Maybe with Ohtani signing with the Dodgers I can stop them wearing Dodger caps at least.  What I’ll do is tell all Chinese that the Dodgers have given 700 million to a Japanese person.
