Tournament Ninth Day Results: We Have a Champion!

 J wins the Tournament Championship!  It took a 4-0 first half lead and L’s rally fell short.  J has a 7-0 tournament record and achieved a double: round robin champ and playoff champ.

Tournament 8th Day Results: The Semifinals

Below you will find the results of the tournament semifinals.

L will play J in the final.  It will be the second game between L and J in the tournament.  Both teams had 3-0 records entering the last day of the round robin when they met in a game to determine the group championship .  L had a 4-0 lead but J came back with seven points to win the game and the Group 2 Championship.  Their second game will have a bigger championship on the line.

L had to get through a relegation tournament to even be in the round robin.  They will have a 8-1 record entering the final.

J with a victory in the championship game would have a perfect 7-0 record.  Their last loss was in the cup final.  While the double final victory is out of the question, they can achieve a tournament double by being the round robin and playoff  champion.

Tournament Seventh Day Results: Quarterfinals

• The Tournament semifinals are set.  Two teams from group 1 will meet two teams from Gtoup 2.  J hopes to win the championship with a 7-0 record.  B, with seven tournament championships in a previous iteration of the tournament, is hoping to win its first championship in this era.

You can cheer for laundry or cheer for letters.  It’s up to you!
 

Tournament Sixth Day Results: Playoffs begin!

 First Round matchups were dramatic.  Two games went to extra turns.  One game had a come from behind on the last turn of the game.

Tournament Fifth Day Results

Here are the results of the last day of the round robin.

C with its 13-0 win won group one.

M’s victory gave it a playoff spot despite its 1-3 record.

J’s win gave it the Round Robin Championship.

U won group 3 despite its 11-4 loss to T.

AA got a playoff spot.

Defending Tournament Champion DD faces relegation .

CC beat FF for the Group 4 championship.

(Ties were settled by point difference and then by more PFs.)

Tournament Fourth Day Results

Here are the fourth day results of Tournament 2.  I have explained what is at stake in the third day entry.

The fifth day matchups are below.  The matchups in group one will be interesting.  No team is eliminated from the playoffs yet.  Group 2 will have a matchup to decide the group winner.  Group 3 has already determined its winner but playoff spots, relegation, and the round robin championship are at stake.  Group 4, like Group 2, will have a matchup that determines its champion.

Tournament Third Day Results

Below are the third day results of Tournament 2.  The four groups play a single round robin.  The first place teams get byes into the one game sudden death quarterfinal round.  The second and third place teams play in the first playoff round for berths in the quarterfinals.  The fourth place teams avoid being relegated.  The fifth place teams have to compete in a twelve team tournament qualifying playoff in order to try to avoid relegation and gain spots in tournament 3.
